Inter-Agri Oils is a Certified Fair Trade Fair For Life Producer. Fair for Life promotes an approach to Fair Trade that allows all producers and workers who are at a socio-economic disadvantage to access a wider range of social and economic benefits.
Inter-Agri Oils operates in a challenging environment where the majority of our employees come from poor, marginalised communities in rural parts of South Africa.
In spite of the many challenges faced, Inter-Agri Oils is committed to improving the quality of life for all it’s employees and many under—privileged community members.
Inter-Agri Oils is actively involved in a number of key upliftment and social community projects which have a positive impact on both it’s employees, their families and some of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Over the last twenty years, the members of Inter-Agri Oils have supported Enxolobeni Primary School through a number of initiaves including fundraising, educational support, maintenance and building projects. The school is located in the rural community of Mahlabathini which neighbours Inter-Agri Oils and their farms.

Inter-Agri Oils also supports Inathi Child and Youth Care Centre which takes care of vulnerable and marginalised children from the surrounding areas. Inter-Agri Oils has partnered with a neighbouring emerging tea tree grower and assists with the harvesting and distilling of her oil.

Ladies picking nuts in the macadamia nut orchards. The members of Inter-Agri Oils collectively employ over 200 staff members, most of which live in the impoversished Mahlabathini community, where jobs are scarce.
